The much widely publicised musical concert to celebrate legendary musician King Sunny Ade and his 50 years of unbeatable art and musicianship held on Sunday, Dec 11, 2016 at Federal Palace Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos.
The concert tagged 'Sunny On Sunday'  saw a host of celebrities, Lagos socialites and fans grace the red carpet including Onyeka Onwenu, Awilo, Darey Art Alade, Don Jazzy,  Funke Akindele, Waje, Omawumi, Niniola, Iyanya, Toke Makinwa, Dr Sid, Sunday Are, Yaw, Lolo 1, Adebola Williams, Kemi Lala, among others.
King Sunny Ade is one of the most influential artistes ever from Nigeria. He led the exposure of his genre of music on the global stage, while remaining King to the Juju music tradition.
With two Grammy nominations, King Sunny Ade is among a select group of the world’s greatest artistes whose musical instruments have been preserved in the hallowed Musical Instrument Museum (MIM) in Phoenix, Arizona, United States of America.
