Love @ COSON Exposes Okoroji, Ras Kimon, Kasi, Others

"Happy Music" moment with Tony Okoroji
At the mention of Copyright Society of Nigeria (COSON), it is likely that what will pop off peoples' heads is the outfit good at suing establishments that allegedly run foul of copyrights of musicians to court. That assertion is correct though, what may be strange to some members of the public is that in and around COSON, there is so much love flowing, and floating in the the air.
That fact came to the fore last Tuesday, February 14, 2017 Valentine's Day when at the COSON Garden in Opebi Lagos, love was strewn all over the place, typified in lovely music, small chops, lavish drinks and most of all, a gregarious gathering of lucky-go-happy personages in a convivial atmosphere to enjoy each others' company as well as what COSON provided for consumtion.
An exciting and exhilliarating time it was as TOPS Music label stable mates of Kasi, Gwilz, and co took turns on stage to thrill everybody in attendance to their newly created styles in music offering. Check out Kasi The June 12 Girl who emerged on stage in her full element, showing off huge talent in song delivery, rendition in both extensive and expansive vocal range which got all responding with various dance moves on the floor.
The acclaimed rub-a-dub master and reggae exponent, RAS Kimono, was also on hand to re-enact the culture that has endured and endeared him to the world of the beat scene for over three decades to the appeal of the gathering. Call it a mini jam session at COSON and you are absolutely right.
But if anybody was in doubt about Tony Okoro's ability to perform on stage, they were compelled to drop their doubting Thomas' toga as everybody around rushed to join him on stage as he belted out his latest offering in 25 years, entitled "Happy Music" with those chieftaincy dance steps only beffiting a titled man in his clime.
The mix, mingling and body riggling in every angle not only fitted the presentation but also accentuated the event tagged "Love @ COSON to the extent that it left no one in doubt that COSON is not only about suing infringers of its copyrights but ensuring that music which is love has to voluntarily pay.
