The National Assembly has summoned President Muhammadu Buhari to
appear before the Senate and House of Representatives over the current
recession plaguing the country. The Senate passed the motion on Thursday in
concurrence with the Resolution of the House of Representatives.
With
the invitation, President Buhari who would address a joint Session of the
National Assembly, would intimate the lawmakers on his administration’s plans
to get Nigeria out of the present economic recession that is at the moment, biting Nigerians.
The
House of Representatives had on Thursday, September 22 passed the resolution
which was sent to the Senate according to legislative guidelines for
concurrence.
