Gwilz: Lyrically Licensed, Ready To Rule The World

He takes no prisoners and fears nobody. He is hot, fresh and daring. He is the one-man riot squad who

Gwilz

cannot wait to give all the major rappers in Nigeria a run for their money.
Not caring whose ox is gored, he says to everyone’s hearing “I am Gwilz. I am the King of the Word, the Toastmaster-General and the Minister of Rap. I am lyrically licensed to kill!”
You better get used to the name, Gwilz because very soon you will see girls everywhere swoon to the music of Gwilz and recite his lines, word for word. For certain, people of all ages will scream the name, ‘Gwilz!’ The only exception will be the guys who will be beefing because Gwllz has so much they don’t have but Gwilz does not give a hoot.
Gwilz is an exceptional talent. He knows how to weave words together and create unique impressions. Gwilz has the uncanny ability to start a rap line in uppity English, swing to Igbo, pivot to Yoruba, come back to pidgin while keeping the beat pumping.
Gwilz is an original street boy and he has the scars to prove it. He has earned every degree you can earn in the University of ‘Hard Knocks’. On his way to fame, he has done every un-fancied job you can imagine. Not too long ago, he was a barber, cutting fancy hairstyles in the Egbeda and Gowon Estate areas of Lagos.
Says Gwilz, “I do what I have to do and say what I have to say. I grew up wanting to be a very good dancer but dancing in Egbeda was highly discouraging, so I gave all to music, irrespective of what everyone said to me. I am the 3rd child of my parents and I have strived hard to become somebody in order to avoid mediocrity. At this point, I don’t think there is any amount of discouragement that can break this wed-lock of “my music and me”.
For several months, the unique sound of Gwilz, a Libra born on October 1, Nigeria’s Independence Day, has been roasted, toasted and cooked in the TOPS kitchen. The music of Gwilz is one of the very exciting delicacies being garnished in the kitchen of TOPS, the hot music production, publishing, distribution and events company, owned by the purist former PMAN President and COSON Chairman, Chief Tony Okoroji. The Chef-in-Chief has been Okoroji who for many years was a sought-after music producer and Artiste & Repertoire Manager for the world-wide recording company, EMI.
Says Gwilz, “We are all young and creatively crazy at TOPS: song writers, singers, producers, choreographers, managers, etc. We break every rule and create new rules. Our motivator, Chief Tony Okoroji, has given us a marching order. He has told us to go mad and create Nigeria’s new music and boy are we doing it? Nobody can stop me now because finally, Gwilz is doing that which he had for a long time prayed to do for free. The stupid thing is that I am getting paid for it!
“I am sorry for all those guys out there making a lot of noise. Very soon, they will have to deal with Gwilz. I am the King of the Word, the Toastmaster-General and the Minister of Rap. I was born on October 1 and I am lyrically licensed to kill!”

Woman, Children Found Dead In Freezer

Danish police said Monday they found the bodies of a slain Syrian refugee and her two young daughters in a freezer in their apartment, as they launched a manhunt for the girls’ father.
The bodies of the 27-year-old mother and her seven and nine-year-old daughters were found inside a freezer in their apartment in the southern Danish town of Aabenraa after a concerned relative had not heard from them for days.
“Police went into the apartment and found the three bodies in a freezer,” local police said in a statement.
“The victim’s husband and the father of the two children was not in the apartment, and we are actively searching for him,” the statement added.
The Syrian family arrived in Denmark in 2015 and were granted refugee status.
The Scandinavian nation welcomed 21,000 migrants in 2015. The influx has significantly slowed since Denmark re-established border controls in early 2016.

Kaffy Apologises To Davido Over Her Insult

Kaffy and her dance group

Less than 48 hours after hipping invectives on popular male act, Davido,Kaffy has issued an apology for her rant against him.
The popular dancer took to Instagram in the early hours of this morning, Wednesday, October 26, 2016 to issue a harsh message to the Nigerian artiste for allegedly firing some dancers.
In a video post, Kaffy said Davido had fired some dancers as they were about to take the stage after practicing for weeks and him agreeing to work with them.
This message goes to Mr Omo Baba Olowo…. Please help me tell him he is a motherf*cker from all dancers all over the country, ” she said in the video.
She has now made a detour by apologing for her words via Instagram.  In her post she apologized for her profanity and said it was time for people to start respecting dancers.
She posted an image of herself with other dancers with the caption:
"I want to start by apologizing profusely for my profanity. It's not how I roll .i am one person who promote discipline and respect among dancers towards their clients and one another.
However this issue is REAL. We MATTER and deserve respect as we have become part of the building block of the entertainment world. We communicate with our bodies what words and sound can't express. We paint a picture that defies laws of nature ND produce masterpieces beyond mere imaginations.
It requires a lot of brainpower to begin to be a dancer not to talk of the ability to command muscles people can't imagine using and that is still underrating the Power of the Art of Dance.
From youth empowerment to mind empowerment it is the least looked into form of psychological, physical and spiritual reformation.
And I can categorically tell u a lot of lives have been changed for the better because we danced.
So WE MATTER. beyond the dance floor we matter against all odds of societal definition of success we matter, thrive and we rule.
So it is time we take control and have a voice. Create structure that will protect us from further disrespect and I will do all in my power to continue to protect dancers.I know great minds out there in our world that will rise up too. It's been years and I have been quiet for too long.
And this is not just in Africa it's everywhere. Davido was just the last straw. It didn't start with him but we can put a stop. Thank you to all who support this fight. God bless."
Davido is yet to respond to Kaffy's statements.
