Nigerians Suffer, Buhari Must Stop Needless Foreign Trips –Fayose

Ekiti State governor, Mr. Ayodele Fayose, has called on well-meaning Nigeri­ans to prevail on President Mohammadu Buhari to stop his needless foreign trips, describing the president’s trip to the United States of America on Wednesday for the 4th Nuclear Security Summit, while Nigerians are suffering at home as, “joke of the year”, reports Sun.

The governor said, “it re­mains a mystery what Presi­dent Buhari that met power generation at 6,000MW and could not manage it such that power generation crumbled to 0MW yester­day, will contribute to the Nuclear Energy Summit in America.”

Speaking through his Special Assistant on Pub­lic Communications and New Media, Lere Olayinka, Governor Fayose said, “it is shameful that while Presi­dent Buhari was far away in the United States of Ameri­ca, attending a summit that does not have any bearing on Nigeria and its people, an unprecedented happened – power generation stopped completely for over three hours!”

He said the sufferings of Nigerians deserved the at­tention of the president in­stead of junketing around the world, wasting the country’s scarce foreign ex­change.

The governor alleged that over $50 million must have been spent on the president’s frequent foreign trips, adding that Nigerians should ask President Bu­hari whether his trip to the United States of America to attend Nuclear Energy Summit will bring the lin­gering fuel scarcity being experienced in the country to an end.

Unusual thirst

It may  be zero degree’s outside but for this type they will drink gallons of water when their periods come knocking. Even after they have downed a whole jug, their throat will be as dry as the sahara ten minutes later.

This is understandably the body’s way of preparing for the long week ahead.

Hunger pangs

She may be stubborn eater who picks what to eat and even then, she will take small portions. However when it comes to that time of the month, she will devour anything that is edible. Her once fully stocked fridge will be empty in two days and whatever it is, she will not get enough of anything.

Problem is she soon becomes bloated then the emotional tears will come flowing the moment she can't fit into her jeans.

Sleeping beauty

No amount of caffein will keep her eyelids open. All she wants to do is sleep, wake up for food and sleep some more.

Woman Presumed Dead By Family For 40 Years Found Alive, Well

An American mum presumed dead by her family for more than 40 years has been found alive and well living under a different name, reports Mirror. Lula Ann Gillespie-Miller disappeared in 1974 after deciding she was too young to be a mother and signing over her three children to her parents.

The family never heard from her again other than a letter she sent several months later, which had a post mark from Richmond, Indiana. But in January 2014 Indiana State Police Detective Sergeant Scott Jarvis took up the case after being contacted by Gillespie-Miller’s family through America’s Doe Network website, which assists families with missing persons investigations.

The veteran cop discovered a case of a deceased unidentified woman, buried in an unmarked grave, found in 1975. A search warrant was obtained in December 2014, and a body was exhumed for DNA analysis. The sample was matched to Gillespie-Miller’s biological daughter, Tammy Miller, for comparison but was found to have no link.

But as he continued looking he began concentrating his efforts upon one missing woman. “He began to investigate the trail of a woman with similarities to Lula Gillespie-Miller, who had lived in Tennessee in the 1980s, then later in Texas, ”police said. “Further investigation led Jarvis to a woman living in a small town in south Texas since the 1990s, possibly still living under an alias.” Jarvis contacted Texas Rangers in the area and had them visit the woman’s home.

The event which held at the Eko Atlantic City, Lagos, had performances from D'banj, Tiwa Savage, Yemi Alade, Phyno, Timaya, Adekunle Gold and others.

Fans were treated to THE TAKEOVER, a unique music experience which allows them to ‘takeover’ from the music DJ using customized wristbands provided by Heineken Nigeria.

“Heineken is as into live music experiences as their fans are. That’s why it celebrates, encourages, and enables music fans to be more active music live-rs,” said Ngozi Nkwoji, Senior Brand Manager, Heineken Nigeria. “Because to fully experience music, it's not enough to just listen to it, you have to live it.”

The event was hosted by Nigeria’s Sensei Uche and South Africa’s Nomuzi, while Heineken ‘Live Your Music’ – THE TAKEOVER session was hosted by David Jones David.

Heineken also provided free transportation for music ‘live-rs’ as part of its commitment to the 'Don’t Drink & Drive – Enjoy Heineken Responsibly' message.

Ibinabo Fiberesima’s Plight: Gloria Anozie-Young Sees Victimisation, Vendetta

Veteran actress Gloria Anozie-Young is currently saddened about the situation of things surrounding the indictment of Nollywood actress, Ibinabo Fiberesima.

According to Anozie, Fiberesima is in jail and being “victimized” in the eyes of Nigerians.

The actress who has been off the movie scene for a while now took to her Facebook page to share her thoughts saying she hasn’t been sleeping well and she has been having nightmares about Ibinabo Fiberesima.

She wrote, “I haven’t slept well in days…I’ve been having nightmares about Ibinabo Fiberesima being in prison. I can’t seem to wrap my head around it. I’ve read the way some people have lambasted her for having an accident. She’s an entertainer, like me, whose work is to make people happy. She had an accident! I can’t sleep because I see victimisation, I see vendetta and I fear”

Justice Deborah Oluwayemi, of a Lagos High Courtsentenced Fiberesima to 5 years in prison over reckless driving, which led to the death of Dr. Giwa Suraj.

She was also recently dealt a double blow when a Federal High Court, sitting in Lagos, ruled that actor, Emeka Ike, will become the new AGN president.

Anozie was one of the first generation of actresses who shone like million stars when the Nigerian movie industry was just in its infancy.

She was one of the actresses that made movies like GlamourGirls one of the best movies ever made in Nigeria.
