The New Day In Ninivaga: A Brief Review

"The New Day In Ninivaga A Triology" is a book of drama set in a third world country called Ninivaga. Authored by Donne A. Chikere, the work is an effort in capturing the perversive disposition of third world rulers whose stock in trade is to plunder their counties' wealth whilst ruling rather than leading, with every instrument of coersion. As the economy of Ninivaga goes bad with despair and despondence being the hallmark of despicable rulership, some young military officers decide to overthrow the government in a coup d'etat. Even at that and all promises that things will improve for the citizens, they get worse in Ninivaga. But there comes a new day in Ninivaga when a new government emerges to cater to the needs of the people; providing health care, education, bank facilities, transportation, care for the aged, pregnant women, kids etc. Though, the author here wishes for eutopia, he leaves his audience cum reader wondering if Africa can deliver a government so wonderful as the new day in Ninivaga being witnessed by her people currently. This work is a must for students of literary studies and those aspiring to venture into leadership at any level.
