Don Jazzy Offers Half A Million Worth Of Goodies To Celebrate Endorsement

Even in their generosity, artistes hardly fail to be eccentric. Or how can multi award-winning record producer and helmsman of Mavin Records, Michael Collins Ajereh, known as Don Jazzy’s decision to give out items worth half a million naira to his followers on Twitter be described?

It was well intended all the same as he did so in celebration of his and Tiwa Savage’s endorsement deal with online shopping site, Konga. The leader of the Supreme Mavin Dynasty (SMD) announced on his Twitter handle, on Wednesday, that his followers should follow Konga, visit the website and munch image of any item they want and send it to him, using the Hashtag Konga (#Konga), with a pledge to buy for some selected people.

Many of his followers obeyed while a few doubted the move of the Dorobucci crooner, known for his generosity on the social media.

At the end of the exercise, the Mavin’s boss bought laptop, camera, washing machine, television among others for the selected winners.

Don Jazzy is also an ambassador for Loya Milk and telecommunications giant MTN, while the pregnant first lady of MavinsTiwa Savage is an ambassador for MTN, Forte Oil, Pepsi and Maggi.

Popular Nigerian hit music making twins Psquare  may have joined the camp billionare businessman Tony Elumelu with whom they held a meeting recently.

Peter and Paul Okoye shared photos on Instagram of themselves having what can be described as a power meeting; whereby wealthy men sit together, with the Heirs Holding boss, Tony Elumelu.

Since the meeting with the billionaire philanthropist, the Okoye twins who support huge telecomms brand Glo Mobile, have been promoting the Tony Elumelu Foundation on their social media pages.

Observers hold that the singing twins may have struck a juicy deal with the business mogul.

Sean Tizzle, Davido Engage in new collaboration

Singer Sean Tizzle is currently building a new body of work for his sophomore album which is expected to be released in the second half of the year.

The Difference Entertainment artiste who was in the studio recently with Rapper Reminisce, has yet again enlisted the help of another hot act, Davido.

Davido who recently stated he would not be entertaining any features till his sophomore album drops seems to have broken that rule as he was pictured in the studio with Sean Tizzle and producer D’Tunes, doing what they do best.

Sean Tizzle whose smash hit record ‘Sho lee’ off his “The Journey” album is still enjoying club and radio rotations recently dropped the lead single for his sophomore album titled, ‘Bottles’

AMVCA 2015: Rita Dominic, Kunle Afolayan Others Battle For =N=4m Prize

Gifted movieBottom of Form makers seem set for a battle royal as they get up against each other at the 2015 Africa Magic Viewer’s Choice Awards (AMVCA). This became obvious as Amstel Malta announced its reward of One million naira cash prize each, to winners of four award categories.  The contest will be among Kunle Afolayan, Ayo Makun, Rita Dominic, Zeb Ejiro, O.C Ukeje, Ivie Okujaye and other AMVCA 2015 nominees who are looking forward to becoming winners this year.

According to Edem Vindah, Corporate Media and Public Affairs Manager of Nigerian Breweries, the cash reward will be given to winners of the Best Actor(Drama), Best Actress (Drama), Best Movie (Comedy) and Best Overall Movie.

He revealed this while addressing nominees and guests at the AMVCA Nominees Brunch which held Wednesday at the Intercontinental Hotel, Lagos.

The 2015 AMVCA will hold its Technical Awards on March 6, 2015 at the Eko Convention Centre, followed by the main awards event on March 7, 2015 at same venue.

Babibevis With Love From Italy In Carry You Go

Given the seeming phenomenal growth that has been witnessed by the Nigerian music industry, many acts plying their trade abroad are on daily basis tracing their ways back home. The latest is Babibevis who was last Tuesday in Lagos unveiled by his management in Nigeria.

The double barrel-chested artiste based in Italy according to the spokesman for his management, Obinna Okeke, is home-coming so as to showcase his abundant musical talent, as well as contribute to and as well share in the phenomenal growth and benefit that the music industry has to offer.

Said he: “He had before travelling to Italy in 2005, produced some musical “demos”. Presently, Babibevis is back to Nigeria not only to showcase his abundant musical talent, he is in Nigeria to contribute to and as well share in the phenomenal growth and benefit that the music industry has to offer.”

Addressing a select entertainment media men at an event to present Babibevis, Okeke said: “You may not have heard the name before, but it is our pleasure to present this bundle of talent who has in the last decade plied his trade in Italy where he has been making waves, doing what he knows best; recording and performing music on stage as a singer as well as a model. His stage name is Babibevis.

“It will interest you to know that Babibevis who hails from Edo State of Nigeria, had before this home coming, recorded some musical works in his Italy base among which is the album, Never Too Late. Also, the video for a track off the album, Jadore, has been shot and is already trending.”

Babibevis had in 2014 signed on to BnB Infinity Records label on which he released a song titled Swagger, featuring Terry G. His current single is dubbed Carry You Go written by award-winning music act, Harry Song.

His music works in Nigeria will be promoted and marketed by Paste Poster Services.
