We have just been told that the Federal Government has awarded contract for the second River Niger bridge; hurray!
While this may make many of the people of the East and Nigerians happy, I dare ask; was this project not earlier contracted out by the last government under Ex-president Goodluck Jonathan?
Or is it that the second Niger bridge project has just been REAWARDED so as, in the tradition of this APC government, everything the last President Goodluck Jonathan administration achieved is further tarnished and diminished?
How many times will this second Niger Bridge contract be awarded before the construction proper?
All said and asked, even as the answers are flowing in the winds, my take is that it is all a facade and smoke screen as well as a grand disguised approach to campaign for 2019 elections; southeast is now the next zone for courting support for APC return to power, having soiled its hands in the southwest. How about that?
