Uzo Chikere
Various artistes exhibiting hip-hop and gospel music forms as well as formidable Yoruba thespian, Odunlade Adegoke fed Residents of Ikorodu with a full dose of revels  in a night cast in drama and music at the Season Two of Glo Slide ‘N Bounce staged last weekend in the town.
The show started with over 2000 young and old residents of Ikorodu thronging the Ikorodu Musical Village venue who turned the show into a festival. Female and male dancers from the town spiced up the event with local flavor. They sang and celebrated with all the artistes present to the delight of the crowd.
The show properly kicked-off with Yaro crooner and sensational female lyricist, Di'Ja, thrilling the enthusiastic crowd with her hottest songs including "Awww" and "Amen". She drove the crowd to a frenzy whilst controling the stage perfectly, using her petite frame to maximum advantage.
Nigeria's gospel singer and "Welu-Welu" exponent, Sammie Okposo was the next artiste to come on stage. The gospel act who urged the crowd to move closer to the stage got a good response as the revellers joined him in singing his mostly praise worship songs. He was later propelled by the crowd to take the show to the spiritual level with his ecumenical lyrics.
The tempo of the show later changed as Wande Coal mounted the stage and moved to solid hip hop. The powerful vocalist, started with his evergreen track, "You Bad" which got the mammoth crowd dancing and rocking and he followed with different tracks from the defunct Mo Hits, including the latest a Sima Peyin which kept the crowd asking for more.
This was followed by the entrance of one of the newest Glo brand ambassadors, Odunlade Adekola. The Nollywood actor who dramatically narrated his encounter with some fans outside the stage was welcomed with a loud ovation and he lived up to the expectations of the crowd.
The hall went wild in applause when Odunlade who said he had got a request from his fans to re-enact the way he acts in movies right before them pulled a pretty lady on stage and she agreed to kiss him the way he kisses in his films, but the actor failed to show his skill in that department.
Taraba-born rapper, M.I was the last artiste to perform at the show. Combining very well with his female DJ, Lambo, they were a delight to watch. The rapper who was visibly shocked as the Ikorodu crowd sang along with him in the entire track, however kept the audience spell-bound with mastery of his songs and stage razzmatazz.
