Joe Esposito
Joe Esposito, a former road manager for Elvis Presley and a longtime member of the Presley inner circle known as "The Memphis Mafia," has died at age 78.
Esposito's daughter Cindy Bahr said Tuesday that he had dementia and died November 23 of natural causes in Calabasas, California.
Esposito met Presley in 1959 while both were serving in the Army in Germany and remained close to him until Presley's death, in 1977. He became Presley's assistant in professional matters, from keeping his calendar to functioning as road manager when the King was on tour. He was also part of a Southern entourage of Presley pals and hangers-on dubbed by the press the "The Memphis Mafia," which included Red West, Marty Lacker and numerous others.
Esposito appeared in some of Presley's movies, including "It Happened at the World's Fair," and was one of two best men at Presley's 1967 wedding to Priscilla Ann Beaulieu. A decade later, he was among the first to find Presley's body after Elvis collapsed and died at his Graceland mansion in Memphis. Esposito broke the news of Presley's death to Priscilla and to Presley's manager, Tom Parker, and was a pallbearer at his funeral.
After Presley's death, Esposito worked as a road manager for the Bee Gees, Michael Jackson and other artistes. His books included "Good Rockin' Tonight: Twenty Years on the Road and on the Town with Elvis," and he was a frequent guest at Presley conventions.
Along with Bahr, Esposito is survived by his daughter Cindy, son Anthony, a brother, sister and three grandchildren.

Having spent 20 years of her life in marriage to one man, actress, Omotola Jolade Ekhinde can be regarded

With the rate at which celebrity marriages are falling apart, the veteran Nollywood actress' advice is much needed.
Omotola who was one of the panelists at the Innovation Warehouse, a mentorship programme for aspiring filmmakers and actors during the just concluded Africa International Film Festival in Lagos, shared her own insight into the workings of a successful marriage.
She emphasised that in marriages between those who work in the entertainment industry, partners must share
Omotola and hubby
the same faith.
Said she: “They must believe in you.
"If you’re a Christian and you marry someone who is not born again then you are on your own. Your partner needs to be stronger than you. They are the ones getting the aftermath of your own action.
"Choose a partner who understands entertainment. Don’t choose your fan. Personally, I don’t believe in love at first sight. Pick someone who sees your heart, your soul, someone who sees the real you and not afraid to tell you about your flaws.
"Discipline is key. Everyone wants freedom but too much freedom is bad. Be disciplined. It’s better to be an enemy to a work partner than to your family. Learn to say No!
"We are like nurses and doctors in the industry because we can be called upon at any time”.
Understanding the pressures younger actors and actresses face to get a movie, Omotola advised that they must be wary of such advances.
She further stated: “Sometimes you will get a role for giving yourself out but you won’t be able to retain it.
If you become famous it will later haunt you. But don’t run away from your sexuality, don’t shy away from who you are, enjoy who you are, come on there but come out with substance."
Omotola is happily married to Captain Matthew Ekeinde and they are blessed with four lovely kids.

F G To Reform Copyright System With Dispatch, Says AGF

Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami SAN surrounded by COSON delegate and other officials; COSON Chairman, Chief Tony Okoroji (immediate right), Special Assistant to the President on Prosecution, Chief Okoi Obono Obla (2nd right), COSON Consultant, Mrs Lucy Ajayi (3rd right), Special Assistant to the President on Research and Special Project, Mr. Sylvester Imhanobe (far right), Gospel star, Kenny Saint Best (1st left), Rub a dub maestro, Ras Kimono (2nd left), COSON Director, Mrs. Azeezat Allen (3rd left), Mrs. Isabella Okwara Ebo (4th left), COSON General Manager, Mr. Chinedu Chukwuji (far left).
The Federal Government of Nigeria has vowed that to immediately ensure the reform of the copyright system  in the country so that the system can effectively protect and promote creative enterprise in the nation and ensure that the Nigerian economy benefits from the creative ingenuity of Nigerian citizens and those interested in investing in the creative industries
The Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami SAN made the disclosure while speaking in his Abuja office on November 25 at a meeting with a delegation of the Copyright Society of Nigeria (COSON) led by its Chairman, Chief Tony Okoroji, said that as part of the reform, the Nigerian Copyright Commission will be energized without delay so that it will pivot from its present analogue approach to the enforcement of the copyright law to a new and muscular digital approach.
While addressing the Attorney-General, Chief Tony Okoroji said that his delegation was in Abuja at a time of national economic distress to engage critical policy makers in the Buhari administration on how to harness the potential contributions which Nigerian creativity can make to the development of the Nigerian nation.

In the words of Chief Okoroji, ‘For a long time, there has been too much talk without action and people are getting disillusioned. In the present economic environment, the Nigerian nation must recognize the necessity to fully deploy the substantial comparative advantage which Nigeria possesses with its creative industries. It is doable to use this sector to provide hundreds of thousands of well-paying jobs for the teeming masses of Nigerian youth who parade the streets of our country almost hopelessly and which hopelessness invariably attracts them to become laborers in the devil’s workshop’.
According to the COSON Chairman, the era when the Nigerian economy was almost completely dependent on oil and gas is in the nation’s past and will not come back and Nigeria’s future will have to be built on the creative ingenuity of the Nigerian people. He said that the ingenuity can be seen in how wide Nigerian music, movies, literature, fashion, programming, and similar products of the creative endeavour are in demand across the world. Okoroji emphasized that the nation must not only ensure that the demand for Nigeria’s creative products around the world is met but that in meeting the demand, appropriate value is received by Nigerian citizens.
The minister pledged that the creative sector will soon see developments arising from the meeting.
While in Abuja, the COSON delegation also had in-depth meetings with the Minister of Communications, Barrister Adebayo Shittu and the Minister of Information & Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed. The delegation was also received by several Directors-General of different  Federal government agencies.
The COSON team to Abuja included Afro juju star, Sir Shina Peters; Rub-a-dub maestro, Ras Kimono; Gospel music star, Kenny Saint Best and Queen of love, Azeezat Allen.
Also in the delegation were COSON General Manager, Mr. Chinedu Chukwuji and COSON Public Affairs Consultant, Mrs. Lucy Ajayi.
